Join the Club

How to Join:

Membership is open to all persons 18 years of age or older, who are in good standing with the AKC and who subscribe to the purposes of this club.

To be an active member, eligible to vote, a member must attend a minimum of 3 general meetings per Club year and volunteer for at least one Club event.

Annual dues are $25 for individuals and $40 for families. Dues are payable on or before the 31st day of December of each year. No member may vote or hold office whose dues are not paid for the current year. In November, you will received a notice and statement for the upcoming year. If you become a member during the last quarter of a calendar year, your dues will be waived for that year.

Election to Membership

Before applying for membership, individuals should plan to attend as many meetings as possible to get to know the club in general and its members.  Sponsorship of two ADPC members is required with the submission of the membership application.  Once an application is submitted to the club, a reading of the application is done at the next general membership meeting and the applicant is encouraged to attend.  A second reading is done at the following general membership meeting and after any discussion, a vote is made on membership.

Once your application is reviewed and voted on at a general meeting, and you are accepted, you are now a member.

To submit online:

Application for membership is a two-step process. The first step is filling out this application, having it endorsed by two current Aztec members in good standing
and paying the membership dues. The application will be read at the first general meeting when submitted. At the next general meeting the application will be
read to the general membership again and brought for a vote. If accepted, the applicant agrees to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Aztec
Doberman Pinscher Club of San Diego, Inc.

The Aztec DPC Constitution and By-Laws requires that all prospective members be at least 18 years of age, be in good standing with the American Kennel Club

B. To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence
by which Doberman Pinschers shall be judged.

and Tracking Tests.

D. To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, obedience trials and tracking tests under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
